In its best I love it for what it is, but at it's worst I refer to it as "RoboCop 2.5" because it sometimes sails too close to Rip Torn cove. ----------------------------------- JohnBoyAdvance Sat Jul 29, 2023 11:49 am ----------------------------------- I don't know if camp is the right word but at the same time Cain's gang being made up of smartarse kid, elvis, asian man and woman is a bit hmmm. Plus a few times shots hang too long on a few "comedy bits". Same tone. ----------------------------------- WeKilledYou Fri Sep 08, 2023 8:29 am ----------------------------------- After reading your post and seeing the various responses from people, I decided to lookup the definition of campy. “absurdly exaggerated, artificial, or affected in a usually humorous way” Based on that, I can kind of see what you mean. Robocop 2 definitely has its over the top exaggerated moments. I think a good amount of people associate the wordy with comedy. I recall National Lampoon movies being described as campy comedies.
