I'm enjoying it but I felt the show was disjointed when it cam to character relationships.

It turned out the episodes were being aired out of order. If you find the correct episode order on the net then it becomes an even better show.

I think this is less on Urban and more on FOX in this case - They still have a bad semi-habit of cancelling most of the decent shows they get either right when they might be something or even before they get that chance.. Been that way for about a dozen-or-so-years now.

I had intended to wait for the full season and watch up the whole thing in order. I caught some of it at the start and it seemed promising. But then I heard they started airing shit out of order and then I immediately thought it was the Firefly syndrome all over again. Rushed into it, or didn't care about it, or maybe both, even.. Plus it didn't seem like they promoted it that well, which always hurts..

Basically, seems like they wanted it to fail, or at least didn't care for it to really succeed, either way, just sucks. And then when it tanks, they can always prattle the good ol' "they didn't get the ratings" song. :roll:

I'm gonna quote something that Andy Richter said a few years back (right after Conan got screwed out of the Tonight Show) that I think fits this deal perfectly. Another one of those 'sad but true' moments. You may remember Richter himself had a show (also on FOX, surprisingly) that also got canned, and right bout the time it was getting in-gear I thought. And this in addition to of course Firefly, Dark Angel.. Seems they especially have something against sci-fi stuff.. Bah. Anyway, the quote -

It never interested me one bit. It looked like cringeworthy, boring, crap, to me.
I did'nt care it got cancelled.

Ok, it wasn´t the most original show on Earth, but the FX were nice and didn´t look cheap, it has interesting plots and (luckily) it wasn´t 100% serious, so characters would have a sense of humour (something a lot of movies and series doesn´t have). And the little homages here and there were great. It was some kind of cop show mixed with the "buddy movie" routine, and worked pretty well. Things like the "balls´ scan" were hillarious.

I hope it´ll come on a nice DVD edition soon.
