Still not actually describing what the video is.. That said, yes that one (Weller's remake remarks) has been well shown before.
Anyway, here's something pretty neat. Rough cut/WIP of the Drug Factory Shootout. Has a couple extra shots among the unfinished audio and temp Aliens score tacked on.

Oh.. nah I think those only show if it's a new thread - You'll see it on the reply screen but that doesn't show in viewtopic. Sorry about that. Anyway, best to just put it in the actual post. _________________ I don't wanna pay that, PhotoBucket. Now maybe you haven't heard, but I'm the guy in old Archive. . Very good video. This only miss a concept more present in Prime Directives: like the Judge Dredd weapon, the Auto-9 can change ammunition: basic normal bullets at R1 and R3 (and maybe armor piercing at final battle of R2), a tag device on TV series (the laser at cartoon versions and games is not canon) and 6 types in Prime Directives: Standard, High Explosive, Armor Piercing, Flechette, Seeker and Non-Lethal.

I think that 'concept' is missed intentionally for one reason - It's ridiculous and wholly illogical tripe much like the rest of PD. It's quite plain the Auto-9 is not nearly as advanced as the Lawgiver to have on-the-fly programmable and configurable ammunition like that; nothing in the world of PD suggests weapons tech has advanced nearly that much aside from some POV shots that were added in likely for no other reason than it looked 'neat'.. Dredd's Lawgiver came from a world a millennium removed from Robo, so it's hardly comparable. Bottom line I don't really consider it any more 'canon' than what is in the cartoons or games frankly, and I would say Archive agrees, hence why it's not mentioned.
The tagger in the series has a bit more of a rationale since it's not some extra-strength dumb and cheesy sci-fi bullshit and it's also shown being fired from the regular police sidearms as well. I personally figure it's more part of an add on device rather than a cartridge in the existing magazine myself. There's no evidence of this but again there's no way to just 'switch' ammo types like that in a contemporary gun short of manually loading them as such and so, well, it seems the more plausible take on it for me. Even then it too is still a bit too ridiculous to bother mentioning, so, it isn't.
As for the 'normal bullets' I'm pretty sure that the Auto-9 does fire a round with some AP capability as his typical load; in the series they mention such, and given he is able to shoot through some barriers it seems to fit. But again there's no real evidence of that. _________________ I don't wanna pay that, PhotoBucket. Now maybe you haven't heard, but I'm the guy in old Archive. The focus with the Auto-9 episode wasn't to detail every aspect of the Auto-9 as such, it was aimed at the reloading and twirl thing primarily, so when i first did the episode many years ago i think i just skipped stuff intentionally. ( Or i forgot. ) If i ever do another version of the episode i might include more stuff.
I believe that the writers of Robo:PD stated that Robo himself was not supposed to have this ammunition change option at all, only RoboCable. It was a mistake or communication failure with the graphic team.
Much like Stan, i think the idea is silly. They should have given RoboCable a different designed gun and maybe it would have been more believable.

I actually like the idea of the Auto-9 being a bit more versatile with different types of ammunition and stuff. One sort of personal belief I have always held since a kid is that he stores extra ammo in his body and when he stores the gun in his leg it reloads it. Pretty sure there is official info that debunks this 'theory' but I like it all the same. I think Robocop is science-fiction and to stay futuristic needs to advance the technology. Maybe a gun in a leg isn't so crazy anymore. Maybe that's not the point. Anyway, I loved the gunarm too so I'm all for Robocop having different and more advanced weaponry.
