What I find relevent here, is how the cyborg by Ed Skrein seems a bit reminiscent of RoboCop original design, or a mix between Robo and T-800.
Maybe it's just the whole back of the head, looks a lot like Robo helmetless.
But also the whole torso feels like a modernized version of Robo, it's just lacking some of the black rubber to hide the joint. I think I would have liked it if they went this way in the Remake (at least the first protoype suit, which I might even like less than the definitive black one).
