GREENLIGHT COLLECTIBLES, a company in my home state of Indiana makes great diecast vehicles in various scales. They recently inked an MGM Studios License Agreement.

https://www.greenlighttoys.com/greenlight-collectibles-inks-mgm-studios-license-agreement/

They will bring to life a full range of MGM silver screen vehicles that have yet to be manufactured as die-cast model cars.

Included is: Item #44940-D 1:64 1986 Ford Taurus LX - Detroit Metro West Police - RoboCop (1987)

Greenlight's Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/GLCollectibles seems to have the most updates and news of their releases (they have a ton). I did a search for ROBOCOP and found a post from January (2022) and they listed the Robocop police car in their releases in March 2022. I found a diecast website that mentions a Robocop 2 set that has the police car and a car hauler for release in August 2022. https://www.diecastdirect.com/category/s?keyword=robocop

I'm going to give GREENLIGHT a call this week and see if they have a more updated release schedule. I will post more info as I have it.

Stay Out Of Trouble.

A local hobby store carries Greenlight stuff, so I'm patiently waiting to see if they stock it.

I contacted Greenlight today and asked about an update on the releases. They confirmed and said this month for the Taurus police car and then August for the car and the car hauler. It'll be interesting to see what they come up with - what vehicle they have pull it. OCP/Detroit Police logos? Who knows. No pictures available yet. They do that with a lot of their releases. It's just a way to re-package and re-sell their original release.

It looks like the the car and the car hauler have been delayed to September/October. They're now listing it as:

1:64 RoboCop 2 (1990) - 1979 Ford F-150 w/1986 Ford Taurus Detroit Police & Enclosed Car Hauler

They have a preliminary drawing as well. Kinda cool they kept it in the Ford family using a Ford F-150 truck to haul it. Creative and clever way to re-sell/re-package your diecasts. I'd buy that for a dollar!

That's nice and all. But what about the OCP Police ATV Tank Personnel Carrier Lewis used to ram Cain? Think I'd might like to have that one from R2.

Agreed. I would much rather they made that or the 6000 SUX instead of the car and trailer combo.

I got my order from Diecast Direct today which included the Greenlight Collectibles 1:64 scale Ford Taurus Robocop car. They did a nice job. I'm pleased.

Well, Greenlight Collectibles has dropped the ball in my option. They decided to make changes to their Robocop 2 car/truck/trailer combo pack. They've decided to include a weathered version of the car. The truck has no logo on the door. Neither does the trailer. They've put a PICTURE of Robocop on the trailer as well as the text, ROBOCOP 2. When I first saw the preliminary pictures of what they were planning to do with the set, I thought it was kind of neat. But with what they've done now - I just think WHY BOTHER? Oh well.

Milking everything they can from their license and their Robocop diecast car, Greenlight Collectibles has individually packaged a weathered version of the 1:64 scale 1986 Ford Taurus LX. Now in stock at https://www.diecastdirect.com/product/29583

Still better than what they did with that trailer. It's interesting to see more Robo 35th merch. Wondering what other licensors might have in store for us...
