Yes, mine is a backer copy. They did say that European backers would start getting their copies now as well so it could pop in through your letterbox any day now! _________________

I watched RoboDoc a few days ago. Quite enjoyed it, but it has made me want RoboDoc 2 and 3 even more now, as those are the films/TV series we hear so little of from a behind the scenes perspective. I hope we don't have to wait another 8 years for them to come to fruition! _________________

Me too. While I like the work they did, we all knew a big bunch of the stuff they covered. The sequels and the TV shows didn´t have a bunch of making of, behind the scenes featurettes or even trivia, so I´m more interested on these.
I´m not sure how much we´ll have to wait for the rest of the docs, but I think I saw somewhere a 2025/2026 release for RoboDoc 2.

The date they've announced for RoboDoc2 is late 2024.
....but we all know how long the first part was delayed.

Wait, when did they announce that? Must have missed that.
If they are looking for VFX artists to help them with Doc 2 and Doc 3 then I would imagine they won't be ready for a late 2024 release. Maybe summer 2025? _________________

It was posted on their facebook page October last year.

I would guess that hiring extra FX people is to speed it up in hope of avoiding further delays.

Have people started to get their backer copies of RoboDoc on Blu-Ray?
Nothing over here in Sweden/Europe yet. It's a very slow process.

I'm in Ireland, I got mine mid-Feb. I thought the Europe backers had theirs sent out at the same time. I would have imagined they'd have made sure you got yours early enough considering.
Side note, it never dawned on me that you're Swedish. Should have picked up some form of Scandinavian link! I'm actually heading to Gothenburg to visit friends next year. _________________

Oh man.
I was so used to waiting forever with RoboDoc that i didn't question why the disc never arrived.
I'll ask the team to check what happened.

I'm assuming you've got your copy now Archive?
We also have a new March 2025 update from the team regarding RoboDoc 2 and RoboDoc 3:
Quote: |
OFFICIAL STATEMENT REGARDING ROBODOC.2 & ROBODOC.3
To our amazing backers,
First and foremost, thank you for your unwavering support, patience, and passion forRoboDoc. When we first set out to make this documentary, the plan was to create a single film exploring the legacy of RoboCop. However, as the project evolved, it became clear that there was so much incredible content and behind-the-scenes material that we couldn't do it justice in just one release. Instead, what began as one documentary became a four-part limited series—and that was only Series One of three!
We are now in active development and post-production on RoboDoc.2 and RoboDoc.3, ensuring that we continue to deliver the most comprehensive and high-quality documentary series possible. The overwhelming critical and fan response to RoboDoc: The Creation of RoboCop has given us the opportunity to expand on this universe even further, and we are working hard to ensure we have more control over the distribution process this time around. This will help us bring these films to you in a way that is smoother, more efficient, and better aligned with our original vision.
We also want to address the delay in delivering certain perks, particularly the VHS box perk. Since we are now delivering three documentaries instead of one, we had to rework the design and contents of the VHS box to include all three projects. This unexpected but exciting expansion meant we needed more time to finalize the packaging and ensure it reflects the full RoboDoc series. However, backers who supported the VHS box perk would have already received their Blu-ray in the meantime.
We fully understand the frustration that delays can cause, and we deeply appreciate your patience. Our commitment has always been to deliver the best possible product, and rather than cutting corners or abandoning the project, we have dedicated ourselves to expanding it beyond what was originally promised.
We are incredibly excited about what’s coming next and will be sharing more updates onRoboDoc.2 and RoboDoc.3 soon. Thanks to your support, we are creating something far greater than we ever imagined, and we cannot wait for you to see what we have in store.
Thank you again for being part of this journey. Your belief in us has made all of this possible, and we promise it will be worth the wait! |

Damn you´re fast. I was going to post it right now
I hope there will be new updates soon, as the mail said the previous update was one year ago in this same month.
And I hope with "taking the control" they´ll remember the backers shouldn´t be the last to get the docs...
