Is there a particular reason why there were never any released extras and commentaries for R2 and R3?

I think they could have dug up SOME extras, instead if just the trailers. That was pretty weak.
I guess they put all effort on the first movie, the best, and never really bothered with the sequels. Much like the studio did with the Rocky movies ( i think) where the first gets A LOT of extras and the sequels none.

I guess this is it, but knowing how studios like to milk movies its surprising that they never did yet another ultra set that would be packed with extras for each movie. Either bluray or DVD or even better, both. Oh well

Both Robo2 and Robo3 look great in HD from the TV showings i have seen.
Especially Robo2 shines with the bright colors and the blue suit.
Robo1 is as we all know extremely grainy, but that's the way it was filmed so there's not much to do about it.

I'll be getting this for sure, but yeah, any extras at all would certainly sweeten the pot.

Would that set work on a PS3 here in the States? That's the only Blu-ray player I have.

I can't find any info on whether or not the discs will be locked to Region2(europe) or that kind of stuff.
Most blu-ray movies can be viewed worldwide so hopefully that is the case here aswell.

Yeah, I've bought some Region free blu-rays from out of the UK before, but I don't want to pay to have it shipped here and end up with region locked discs.

| robohell : | | Even if they did put in that extra footage, would it be all fucked up like i see it is on youtube?? |
No, probably not the studio(s) own the material if anything its in superb quality. That you saw was just a bad but awesome rip.

| TheOldManOCP : | | Yeah, I've bought some Region free blu-rays from out of the UK before, but I don't want to pay to have it shipped here and end up with region locked discs. | Well, about 65-70% of all Blu-Ray releases are region free, plus the region code thing is optional, so the chances of getting a region encoded disc is rather slim... good news for me
In short, might as well buy the UK Robocop Blue-Ray Trilogy release _________________

I'll research it a bit first, and if it isn't cost effective, I'll just wait for a US release.
