One thing i never could work out is
stand robo and kane next to each other
kane really does look like a monster it would scare the people of Detoit , in saying that robo really looks the part..
Could they have made kane not look as scary? |
Its very interesting when I lurk in many different places and forums, or when I talk to people about RobCop 2 or robots in movies in general, just about everyone comments on how scary Cain was and how he freaked them out when they first saw the movie. I think its not only because of his design, but the PHENOMENAL intorduction that Kershner gave him. I mean, running around in the dark with this big monster with blinding lights after you? What a great scene. What a great great scene

Also knowing the brain that is inside that machine makes him even more villanish

i was searching in the forum to find information on the new robocop movie in 2010/2011
IS IT REALLY HAPPENING???

True. Mechanical beast with a brain of a sadistic religious maniac. Another factor was no eyes (and no face actually) - just like with Alien, that always works and makes the "creature' very creepy. I know ED 209 didnt have eyes either, but that was just an automat, whereas with Cain you knew theres a person inside, a lunatic and a murderer

What I really want is for them to leave the franchise alone. Its ruined and turned into laughing stock by the Tv material enough as it is. No more. What I would love Warner to do instead is to go back to the roots and focus on the classic movies by releasing yet another Trilogy package loaded with special features and audio commentaries for ALL 3 movies. I know R3 is, lets say, unsatisfactory to say the least, but its still the last segment that wraps up the story, and would be interesting to hear the commentaries on that and see the making of videos and interviews with the cast

As far as I can figure, yes, there is a new film in the works, and the project is still 'on', or so we've been told. :roll:
You can read more info about the new film in the relevant topics in the News forum, and that's where you should inquire or comment further - you're indeed going off-topic talking about it here.
Otherwise, yeah, RoboCAIN is badass, not exactly new knowledge there.
