The Avengers.
I enjoyed it and was suprised by how much I liked Mark Ruffalo's performance as Banner. It was a bit slow in the beginning and I did get a little bored of Loki by the end but it was worth the price of admission.

I too saw "The Avengers" today.
It wasn't bad. But I wouldn't say it was that great either.
The action was OK and it was nice that each of the characters was given his fare share of screen time. However, there was nothing that made me say "WAAAAAAAAY COOL" or something. Nothing really made a serious impression on me and nothing really makes me want to sit through the movie again. I have to admit though, the jokes were actually funny and the post-credits scene was a really nice touch.
Another complaint I have is the 3D. There wasn't a SINGLE scene that was actually filmed as if it were meant to be in 3D (such as Cap throwing his shield directly at the viewers for example) and was simply a cheap trick to inflate the ticket prices. I didn't feel any depth and the 3D effect seemed even more shallow than it did on "Green Lantern".
Overall, not a bad movie, but certainly over-rated. I'd give it a 6 or a 7 at most. _________________

Ha, for the first time in my life I got a boner over the Hulk.
And I skip 3D. Most of the time it is tacked on and is bollocks anyway.

I would've gone to see it in 2D as well, but we only have 3D screenings of it. _________________

I watched The Secret Policeman's Ball and The Secret Policeman's Other Ball the other day, does that count? I'] I used to watch regular Python all the time as a child when we had the whole thing on VHS, but since getting rid of the collection I've only seen a few episodes on TV and re-watched a bunch of classic skits on youtube.. I've seen most,if not all the movies at least one.
And I'm American. FUCK YEAH! _________________

Prometheus went and caught it at midnight last night...Incredible!..Although it suffers from trying too explain way too much towards the end..Proof that some mysteries are better left misteries...
