I am a die hard Robo fan like the rest of us and I like to keep an open mind about anything brought to us Robo related but this is just bad....real bad. The foul mouthed Robocop just kills me.
What a missed opportunity.......yet again.

| Josh : | | Duke Serkol : | I want to see how everyone reacts to that line being spoken by Robocop |
There's worse than "mother fuckers"? |
Well, it's not swearing... judge for yourself:
Yes, he did in fact just say that.
[Edit]
Uh... I just realized in both topics Johan was the only one to post pages. Is it a violation of the rules for a non-administrator to post one? If it is, I apologize and will promptly delete this post.

I don't know whats worse. "Come with me if you want to live", "You have ten seconds to comply" or the fact Robo has eyebrows.
Ladies and gentlemen. Those quotes are proof that the "writers" are just lifting phrases that are relevant to the universe but not the character.
Now Nika, Mindchamber, Sean and all you other talented bastards post some new fan art to show Dynamite how It's done.
And to make me feel a little better knowing that someone somewhere actually knows how to draw Robo and not a man in a dress up costume.

Well, given the circumstances, I'd say "come with me if you want to live" fits well enough. It's the ED209 line that comes out of nowhere and has me laughing my ass off.
(Though I rather would have liked to see that scene from the cover in-comic. The one with Robocop completing the Terminator's catchphrase with his own "Come with me..." "...or there will be trouble.")
Wonder what happens if they don't comply... Robocop comically keeps shooing them long after they're dead?

I didn't react as strongly to the ED line as I assumed that it has some further meaning other than Robo just dropping random ED lines. I'm thinking perhaps Robo's has gotten corrupt or something. Notice the glowing eyes.
As for uploading pages, anyone can do it, we just need to be careful not to upload TOO many pages as "Dynamite comics" would get pissed. But, as i said in another topic, they are probably already pissed after all these bad reviews.

Yeah, I figure something may be up with the glowy eyes and all that "Robocop will be conflicted between his human and machine side" nonsense in interviews. But of all things he could say, the ED209 line? Which doesn't even make sense in context? (It's not subtle at all and again, what is he going to do if they don't comply?)
And so what if they're pissed with the reviews? Everyone here seems to be much more irate than they possibly can. Not me though. To me this has gone past "Godawful" and into "hilarious territory"

Wow! That is really, really bad. It just confirms why I have not bought a comic book since the very late 80's. I still visit my local comic shop from time to time, but I am still very disappointed with the majority of titles.
I don't understand why they would think Robo would use swear words??!! I would hope the creators of the comic would have watched the films to get general grasp of the character.
But, like Hollywood (For the most part) they cannot generate new ideas so grab a classic property and slaughter it hoping they will make money.

What really kills me,I picked up another Dynamite book that was on the rack next too this,Danger Girl and Army of Darkness,The art in that title is light years ahead of this Roboshit so it's obvious Dynamite dosen't give a shit about Robo.

Art would by my idol, J. Scott Campbell. My greatest artistic influence. He's a big Bruce Campbell Fan. I thought he was only doing covers. Danger Girl was his baby over at Image Comics back in the 90's. One of the best artists to come out of that sudden surge in comics industry. Him and Jim Lee, of course. And it was Jim Lee that took him under his wing. Then Gen13 came out. Fucking great book in my teens.
Dynamite obviously put a little less money into it after the storywriter went over to Marvel Comics. At least that's what Dynamite states on their page. _________________

It's definately bad ass!..Even on a budget however they could have bettered that Robo comic.I mean there are so many writers and artist's that are willing too work on spec just to get a shot at getting some work out there you know this well I'm sure Sean,That theres really no excuse for this kind of trash getting published..It takes advantage of us as Robo fans knowing that because it's Robocop a certain group of people will buy it no matter what and it dosen't serve Dynamites investment in the property either it's just bad business too serve up shit as your end product..I bet if you submitted your awesome Robo work you'd be met with silence even though you'd kill this for them. The process of getting in is so fucked up that they don't recognize talent when they see it..See it every year at comic con when my buddy trie's too make his submissions too publishers and gets met with nothing..

So, you know exactly how frustrating it is...
The Industry is now FLOODED with new submissions all the time, that they have completely changed how they take them. Making it virtually impossible to have it seen by an actual editor and not an unpaid intern.
Really, the only way to get your stuff out there now, is by publishing it yourself. If there's an officemax or staples nearby, you have a shot at getting the right materials to do it yourself (as the expression goes), but getting it out on the shelves is where the true battle comes in.
Marketing isn't a strange notion for me, it's talking business when I need to. It's not my territory, but I know enough to at least approach store owners and ask. That's how I got my first book (North, 1997. (c) ) published and sold in a comic store. I was only 17. The problem? I only printed 20 copies.
But, I still got a few issues sold.
This is my current plan. Together with my Lady-fare, we will be writing, co-artistry, and self publishing. Mostly likely go with Black and white interior (depending on prices of printing), and do a Graphic novel, which could also be split up into 4 parts for serial-publishing.
Maybe a small run of 1,000. Not sure yet.
Anyways, I went off on that train of thought.
...you have twenty seconds to comply.
Wow, he just said that? Man, I can't wait to see this book in person, I gotta figure out what the hell is happening here. _________________

Sad to say, that was the last page of the issue, so you have to wait until the third one to know what's happening.
...spoiler: what's happening is Dynamite doesn't know head from tail when it comes to Robocop.

What would be great was if the talented members could all contribute and make a comic.
Have everyone contribute in terms of story, you know throwing their ideas into the mix. The fact is that 90% of us on here are die hard fans and it would be the best thing to do, seeing as we'd like to see Robo done some justice.
Because frankly, Dynamite are fucking things up...
