I just stumbled across mortal kombat Legacy the series on youtube. I hadn't heard of this and it seems really well done and is apparently going to be made into a movie. You can find all the episodes on youtube but I figured the rest of you window lickers would enjoy this particular episode clip as much as I did.

I watched these week by week as they came out.

And enjoyed them. I like the mystical tone crossed with the more realistic slant and a series or movie could work really well.

SPOILERS/TRIVIA: In the episode where you see Kano's mechanical eye placed in by a machine it uses a sound effect from RoboCop.

I hated the realistic approach they made. The line about Johnny Cage being in "Power Rangers" was a nice touch though (the actor that plays him - Matt Mullins was actually Kamen Rider Wing Knight in "Kamen Rider Dragon Knight").

Personally, I'd stick to the first live-action movie.
