I need some help.

I have a Netgear VMDG480 (also known as the Virgin media Super Hub).

I have begun to port forward to try and maximise my gaming connection. My main problem is that I understand that there is all this stuff to do with TCP and UDP, but the site I used to find the ports (portforwarding.com) says to select "both" out of said TCP and UDP.

Is that right? For example, portforwarding.com says to select "both" for each port on Battlefield 3 yet the official word from the developer was that certain ports were TCP and certain others were UDP.

Any help from you fine people would be welcome.
