Frak. Pneumonia has once again slowed my progress. I was going to make the mold for the helmet this weekend and make the hard parts to tighten up, when Bam!!!! Pneumonia showed up to darken my doorstep once again. This time we are doing blood work to see if i have some sort of immunodeficiency. Hope to get out tomorrow night and keep working depending on how I am feeling. A note on the helmet I have re-done the upper section of the back. the Main round detail was the wrong size and was throwing the entire thing off. So I will be molding it without that part and casting it in resin as a plant-on, with a recess in the helmet for it to sit in. Which seems more accurate to the film anyway. if you look at the blu-ray. I will post pics when I can.

I have continued working regardless of illness. The new insert is being machined even as I sleep, and the helmet adjustments are almost done. I will be starting the 1st mold of the 2 stage molding process next weekend I hope.

Thanks I am. the center round port detail on the back of the helmet is complete. It looks amazing. It has been machined in aluminum by our own candyman exclusively for the robo suit rebuild TOM helmet. I am fortunate to have Ryan (AKA) Candyman as a partner in this venture. His parts are the Best. We will be offering resin castings of his robo struts, (the best I have ever seen) and he will continue to offer his services making metal parts as people want them. A big shout out to you my friend, and a hardy thank you.

great idea, although i fear even out of ally the wearer would be crsuhed under its weight LMAO!!! My R2 is now almost too heavy to lift!!!! and i still have a ways to go with him yet LOL
hoping the helmet is the first piece up for sale, as it can go on display on my living room while i await the next piece to be released

I will be starting the preliminary mold tonight. Then lots of sanding and patching. Then the final production molds. I am hoping to have the helmet ready by the end of summer. I have a full time job with unpredictable hours so timing is hard to predict. But that's my best guess

The I have begun the first stage molding of the helmet. the first layer of silicone is on, It will take several days to make the mold. I could accelerate it but I done want Robo shrinkage. LOL. Here are some in progress photos.
the Insert will sit a bit deeper in the receiver hole that what I am showing. Currently it sits too far out.
more to come as i make progress.
