I recently purchased three of the RoboCop remake figures. I wasn't a fan of the cardboard box design (NECA spoiled me with their nice plastic cases). I was unable to get my hands on the original armor, but they had plenty of the 3.0 tactical suit. Toys 'R' Us was the location I purchased them. I'll try to get some pictures up to show everyone.
Just as a side note. I actually found a NECA battle damaged RoboCop for $17.99 at a local FYE store. I didn't think I would find any original RoboCop figures due to the new remake. FYE never disappoints me when it comes to finding a classic, collectible figure. I also got a NECA T-800 from there. "Tech Noir" edition.

RoboCop_ : | I recently purchased three of the RoboCop remake figures. |
Those are different RoboCop toys you picked up. This topic is about the more detailed figures by "Play Arts Kai" that currently have a release date of April 2014.

Speaking as someone who has a Play arts Bayonetta, Jeanne, Lara Croft, DKT Catwoman and this guy:
I safely say I'm at least going to get an 1988 Robo from Play arts.

I hope I can buy the classic (and better) RoboCop figure before it goes out of stock. I'm guessing that's gonna seller a lot faster than the remake figures.
I've also owned a few Play Arts figures myself like Lara Croft (from the Tomb Raider reboot) and Catwoman (from Batman Arkham City)...I really hope to buy Bayonetta soon, I really love that game. _________________

I can't wait for these, got the 3.0 on preorder from amiami, I actually like the paint job on the 1.0 and it stands out from the 3.0. However the colour is not very movie accurate, so I went with the 3.0 and hopefully if I like it enough, I might get the 1.0 or the old version too.

I was thinking on buy the 1.0 model from the reboot, but after the movie, I don´t care too much. Sadly, the 1987 model is too skinny for my tastes. It works for the reboot ones, cause they´re like that in the films, but the original RoboCop is bulky.

I honestly don't care if the classic RoboCop is bulky, I'd save my money for more premium movie accurate models, but I do love what Play Arts can do with these figures...so I can't wait to buy one soon. _________________

I doubt the RRP will drop sometime soon, most Play Arts figures rarely do. _________________

I still think he looks too thin and out of proportions there. And I still think that the newer ones look good that way. Even better than on film.

Zentron : | The model version of the new RoboCop suit, does look alright, more, cyborg, but the human hand, just ruins it sooo badly! I think we need to have someone do a bit of customisation! |
IM ON THE JOB! *pre orders toy* one more thing. *buys some black paint* now I just wait! that's probaly what I'm gonna do though.

Just got the 3.0 in the mail today from amiami, and damn this thing is soo awesome, best poseability and smooth articulation! Though I would have preferred a bigger figure, Now im thinking of getting the 1.0!
EDIT: I realized I had issues with the wrist joints, both of them were very stiff and could not bend. Taking the joint off and dipping them in hot water for a while fixed the problem . Other than that everything is awesome.

Considering they used CG to remove the "beer gut" from the suit in the final film, it's strange seeing it on the figure.
Still, they look more defined than the suits in the film so they've got that going for them.
