thinking about picking up the TPB of Miller's Robo 2, but I've heard mixed reviews on it, from it being a facinating look at a movie not made to being utter shit with no redeeming value.
anyone here read it? and what was your opinion?

I think itīs interesting to see how the movie would look. Also, itīs Robo 2 and 3 in one, as some of the ideas of RoboCop 3 were in the original script for RoboCop 2. But it getīs over the top with the tone and the art that sometimes itīs difficult to digest.

well,I've seen some scans from it here and there...
- DEFINITELY prefer the movie version of machine RoboCop 2 compared to the ape with TV screens strapped to it's head version of the comic. was that really what Miller envisioned,or was it artistic licence?
- however, I would've preferred Miller's version of the super-sexual Dr. Faxx for...several reasons!

Here's an old topic about it which does contain some spoilers.

You can see some opinions on there including my juvenile ones from back in the day.
Fuck, I make for painful reading.

I own it. It's amusing for what it is, but it's nothing to write home about. I'm glad they booted most of Miller's ideas for the final film. But at the same time, Robocop 2 could have been better in general for tons of reasons.
Go read it.

I'm kicking myself for not picking it up since 2005.
Hope I can find it.
Oh, and that Doctor Faxx looks like a ginger Alyssa Miller or Melody Perkins.

You asked for it on another topic; Boom! released it as a hardcover edition. I think you could get it on websites like Amazon.
About Faxx and the rest of the girls in this comic, they look like they came from an X-Parody of RoboCop 2.

Because of a mistake i bought the english hard and softcover-version. (and the german limited ed. too. Think they used the start of the new movie to sell it here)
I have mixed feelings about it.
The art:
I like that style, cause the artwork has many details. Every time i watched it i found something new. (That's like a comic has to be for me, not that crap that you get very often today...)
The Story:
In english it costs me a little time, to understand the small things that are sometimes hidden inside. So I have to read it 2-3 times.
When they made 2 more like the comic, I think it has become a very interesting movie.
@razgriz21: Try amazon.co.uk. (There I got all 3)
