...Strange I guess, I had a thing for robots ever since I was young spawn.
Someone tried to buy me a Barbie Bus and I think I insisted on having it swapped for an Omni Junior. Then I pretended he was a 15 metres tall all-purpose demolition-killing machine. Kids.
Not enough people in general appreciate robots, giant robots, cyborgs, and cyberpunk. It's disgusting.

Simultaneously mesmerizing, yet terrifying. . .

My God! Did anyone even read my entire post!? I JUST WANTED TO WAX PHILOSOPHICAL AND SAY SOMETHING NICE!

Nothing hotter than a guy waxing philosophical while he's roughing up the suspect.
I'd administer PT, if I could find it on your profile. In my defence, I feel drunk.

I had seen it when I was around 8 or 9 and loved it, but I didn't become really hooked until around my late teens when I was able to comprehend all the complexities of the original movie. Since then, it gradually became my favorite film.

My stepdad was always renting bad sci-fi movies from the videoshop - stuff like The Lawnmower Man, Robot Jox, Slipstream, Carnosaur - till it became like this joke that he'd somehow always manage to find the worst films ever made and we'd have to eat dinner to them, and the only one excited about it was him. Why didn't he ever bring back anything cool, like Robocop?
I had to 'borrow' Robo from my uncles' and then tape it myself from the TV when they discovered they were Roboless. Could have been worse I guess - compulsory Adam Sandler movies or something.

...I don't know you and your taste that well yet Josh; you could either be cracking a funny there, or you could be deadly, misty-eyedly serious. I don't know.
So I made two answers. Answer 1 is intended for if you cracked a funny. Answer 2 is for Serious Mode.
1) ...I'm an asshole, yea. And TLM is probably why I dislike Robo 2 a little more than maybe I should. RoboCain's TV screen! Reminds me of TLM's ending. Oh my God.
Nah. I'm really just pissed because "virtual reality" still sucks 20 years on. I WANT TO PLAY WHAT THEY ARE PLAYING AND HAVE PROPER CYBERFUX0R and what's the best we got? Driving test simulation!? Skype!?
2) ...I'm an asshole. *shrug*
