I really can't bring myself to buy this.
It's bad enough I paid at the cinema but I can't justify a purchase because it's not a good movie. I'm surprised at the amount of people picking it up considering very few of us regard it as a decent movie.

I bought it solely to support the franchise. I'm hoping that it'll make enough money to warrant further Robocop films, but that the studio will pay attention to the mediocre reviews and try to improve on what's been done.
I honestly don't really expect a sequel and if it does happen I'm not terribly excited about it based on this new RoboCop universe that's been established.... But still I felt like I had to support the name.
At least some decent figures and new comics have come out of this remake.

Yes. Buy the DVD/Blu-ray. If only to support the character and the possibility of a sequel.
People tend to forget that the reason we have gotten so much new Robo figures, comics etc is because of the recent revival of the character. The new movie got us there whether we like it or not.

Gotta agree Boss.
Pains me to say it, but without this film, there would be no new robo stuff.

The No. 2 selling DVD in the US on its release. Wonder if there are figures for other territories available somewhere...
I've checked the online stores of some big chain retail outlets in Ireland and also in the UK and most have RoboCop listed as No. 1 or have prominent features for them as a new release movie. If this does sell well, we may hear something official about a sequel before the end of the year... _________________

The only bad thing about this is that I don't think we'll be seeing some installment based on the original Robo. Like if there was news of an upcoming RoboCop game, chances are it'll most likely be based on the 2014 version rather than the 1987 version. _________________

In this article it lists Avatar as being number 7 on the weekly top DVD/bluray sales list. How is Avatar at number 7 all these years later?!?!

Either Best Buy/Target are selling it for a really cheap price or that's probably a bad typo. Never thought it'd still keep going for five years. _________________

As predicted, eBay is awash with Robocop 2014 DVDs and Blu-Ray's with the tag line, "only watched once"... kinda says it all really! _________________ http://img819.imageshack.us/img819/1060/klfjustifiedancient.png

Next year, there's gonna be a ton of these DVD and Blu-Ray copies found in bargain bins all over the country...probably selling for $5/£2-3 or less. _________________

Just wait till it ends up in Amazon when NEW copies are just selling for £0.01 (plus £1.26 shipping). Or even at CEX (although they might charge a bit more for it).
Can't imagine anyone else wanting to buy this (except for Zentron, because he also knows it). _________________
