As suggested, I'm moving this guy over to his own thread!
As there's nothing out there with the level of accuracy I'm looking for, I've been building my own 3D model of the RoboCop 2 Hero Suit, dubbed the GQ Suit by RoboTeam. As an aid for my upcoming RoboSuit Guide, it's incorporating every known detail of the suits down to the individual nuts and bolts! Working in Blender has been a bit of a bitch (it has a pretty dense UI) but it's been totally worth it to see this guy come to life piece by piece.
Further plans include a Pepakura conversion, and I'm on schedule to have him finished by the end of the month. In the meantime, here are the renders I've done so far!

I used it a bit in college, but I make less than minimum wage; dropping $3700 on a computer program isn't a viable option for me.
Besides, lots of people prefer Blender's modeling abilities to 3ds Max, it has sculpting options similar to ZBrush, and it costs a whopping $0.00 on top of all that. _________________

Alright, guys, two birthdays in a row (a third tomorrow) and a last-minute convention have put me a few days behind schedule, but I'll be sure to post a new render before I go to sleep tomorrow.
I don't how, and I don't know when, but I'm suddenly faced with a social life and it's kind of freaking me out. _________________

Damn, did I ever pick a good time to check back in!
'Trap, as someone trying to salvage what I can from a Hansing suit with all kinds of wrong, this looks fantastic. The helmet is boggling my mind the most because I have no idea where to start; your model might solve that! Let us know when the pep model is ready, I'd love to put it to use if that's okay with you.
Thanks again! Also looking forward to your suit guide.

Still working on the legs, but I'll post something before I sleep.
Yo, Dash, long time no see! Yes, the helmet is a strange one. There are a lot of details that are barely (or never!) seen and some strange curves going on, but a lot of the oddities in the shapes are actually functional, which helps in figuring it all out.
I'll be releasing all of the pep files when they're done, there's no way I'd keep those to myself! _________________

As promised, pics before I crash. A few renders of the behind-schedule legs:
There's a subtle twist that goes down the legs so that the wearer can stand naturally (with toes pointed apart) while keeping the top of the legs aligned with the briefs. It's very pronounced on the lower leg, but getting the angle just right on the thigh twist is more difficult than I thought it'd be. That kind of stuff is what's making the modeling process so time-consuming, not the scribed panels and bolts. _________________

Thanks!
Yeah, the hardest parts of my helmet are the text is faded (making redoing it hard since it's a thin cast), and the height of the helmet isn't as high as it could be. The worst offender is the Hansing rubber chin guard. Clearly not any kind of original or authentic-looking cast. I know Bruce has said this, but hell, the midesction bits look better and I plan to replace those too.
Love the leg render! I'm due to experiement with pepakura armour, so this is exciting.

This is the best model of Robocop! Better than my 3d model:
Keep up the good work!
