Forgot to mention Sin City. Very close to the graphic novels indeed.
Even the dialog in the movie is the same as the graphic novel.

Question for all you BATMAN listers. Do you mean BATMAN from 1989 with Michael Keaton, or BATMAN BEGINS with Christian Bale?
I personally prefer the 1989 version, it was the first cinematic Batman for me, and it has a lot of sentimental value. Plus, Jack Nicholson's Joker was pure genius, and won't ever be topped.
