Seriously though, they do look really nice, some of those RoboCain pictures are beautiful, especially the third from the bottom.

i assume it would work really well. i ran old tv shows from the 80s like threes company and all in the family, it does help a lot. im almost done with robocop 1 its going to take a few more days but worth the wait. it really looks nice, you can actually make out the scratches on robocops chinguard and countless other scenes. robocop 1 is a prime candidate for this type of technology. once finish i then need to upload it. im trying the workprint of robocop 2 that hobs sent ill see if there if its worth to do it or not, if it is ill do it, if not ill work on robocop 2 unless u guys want me to try something else.

anyone can do this though, all u need is time and a computer equipped with an nvidia card and some basic ffmpeg commands. i extracted all frames first, came out to 600gb and then ran it through the ai enhancer and then using ffmpeg to put it back together again. there are some scenes in robocop 2 though where it doesn't do so well, like the media break because it uses the tv scaleline effect and it screws up, so that part is not processed, this does not occur with robocop 1 so its easier to process. as for the workprint, i just took a look at it, and i dont think it will help much, sadly. ill try though.

I have the MGM version of Robocop 2 coming in the mail which in my opinion looks way better. I did a test sample with it plus upscaled to 4k and it blows my mind how good it looks. Cain looks unreal. I love Robocop 2 way more than the first one at this point. Robocop 1 was when I was introduced to it but Robocop 2 is my favorite.
