Anyone know if its just the same commentary from the other DVDs or a new one?
The DTS sound track is a big plus.

Seeing as how the commentary is on the theatrical cut disc, I'm gonna go with it's the same old commentary that's on the other MGM releases of the movie. Which is alright since there's no point in making a new commentary track, unless you get Peter Weller, Nancy Allen, Ronny Cox, and Kurtwood Smith to be on it.

I think it's kinda funny that for once the whole world is getting a Robo dvd release with the crappy USA/Region 1 generic ROBOCOP logo...

Everyone, that is, except for the USA/region 1...

My brother got me this DVD set for a gift and I really love it, however, this created the problem that collectors often have: Do I buy the trilogy set when I already have the original on a special DVD set? I wanted to get Robocop 2 and 3 and they had a 3 disc set, but then I would be buying the original over again.
Now, as a fan of the movies, I should have no problem owning multiple copies of Robocop, right? But the trilogy was just a basic theatrical release, so I figured that I wasn't getting anything I didn't already have. (I also have the original on VHS, which I still use. I know, I know. . . . I know. But mostly for my awesomely bad movies, some of which haven't been released on DVD anywhere. I have a Robert Z'Dar movie collection).
Long story less long . . . I didn't buy Robocop 2 or 3 until much later, but now I have them and all is well.
