I laughed when I read this bit of info from the wondercon panel:
| Quote: | | Friedman wanted to bring back Kyle Reese, the time traveler who fathered John Connor and then died in the first Terminator movie. But his fellow producers convinced him this would never fly with the fans. So instead he finally agreed to introduce Reese's brother, Derek, played by 90210's Brian Austin Green. |
What a fricking moron. Full article can be found Here

I've been watching the show, and I'm actually enjoying it. There's one thing I'm disappointed about, and it's with tonight's episode, it's really a casting decision. Dr. Silverman is in tonight's episode, and he's played by Bruce Davison (from X-Men, and Knight Rider), I think they should have tried to get Earl Boen to reprise the role, but you can't get everything.

I heard mixed things about this show, but I've been meaning to watch an episode since it aired.

Ive seen that guy in plenty of TV shows over the years, its not like he is in demand or anything! lol. I guess they just wanted to get a more likable personality or something, we shall see how it goes I suppose. Silverman was pretty much an asshole in all but the third movie anyways....

I'm really hoping this show gets renewed for a longer season. I want to find out more about Cameron, like what type of Terminator she is, and what the hell is she doing keeping the metal, and the T-888's chip. And I don't think all of that is gonna be revealed on next week's 2 hour finale.

Earl's retired from screen acting. That's why they couldn't get him.

I've been following it since the pilot. I like it and I'm glad it wasn't watered down like with our poor Robo tv series.

They also replaced Dysons wife and that Enrique guy with new people. Looks like they just wanted to separate it from the movies in a way.

Well, the original actress who played Dyson's wife is S. Epatha Merkerson, who currently plays Lt. Van Buren on Law & Order. Like Boen, I just don't think she was quite availible for the role.
I kinda agree with you, Johan, the little of the show I have watched, it does seem that they're trying to seperate themselves from the movies somewhat. And so far, it seems to be for the better.
I really should try watching the whole series from start to finish now.. _________________

Anybody watch the season finale? I just finished it, couldent watch it on Monday as I was working but I thought it was pretty decent. One obvious fact is that the two part finale was seriously lacking in the action department and then when the big confrontation does appear it goes mostly unseen! Yes it was a bit of humor out of left field but thats not what I wanted to see, I wanted to see the 9 or so members of SWAT take bullets to the chest! Sadly thats not what I got. Though Im glad they leave a cliffhanger, that assures me there will be a next season......or a seriously bad ending to a canceled show! lol, wouldn't be the first. _________________

Actually the finale wasn't meant to be the finale, they originally were ordered to make 13 episodes, but the writer's strike kept them from making the true finale.

Maybe its been mentioned before or not, but Summer Glau really does resemble a young Sigourney Weaver.

Same here. Sucks that the writers strike came in when it did, or else we would of had another 4 episodes in season 1.
The finale was good, but I found it strange that it was actually just two separate episodes, instead of one 2 hour episode like the series finale for X-files. If if was like this, they could of just aired the 9th episode the week after so it would of been longer.
