first off, i feel the need to remind again that i like 360 AND wii. most people do! being competitive about about these things is a bit redundant, especially from people who are not recieving the revenue. second of all, you're right though the wii IS gonna get owned with this. but its all good while i'm playing the natal my wii is still gonna be sitting in my entertainment unit along with my master system, megadrive, super nintendo, sega saturn, nintendo64, psx, gamecube, ps2 and xbox. all of which i will continue to whip out every now and then when feeling nostalgic. ...poohead.
also, that milo thing is fuckng awesome and fucking scary at the same time

Now that is a topic for another place but let me just comment that it's a mistake to take the whole Project Natal thing to serious. At the moment it's more hype than actual reality. The creator behind the Milo game even admitted after E3 that the footage we saw was highly constructed and made in a highly controlled environment. Time will tell if this proves to be anything other than the usual "swing your hands like a lunatic in front of the tv" routine.

Not to further this off topic-ness, but yeah, Milo is awesome and scary at the same time. But he could be done on any system.
Plus the whole thing about "motion control" is that it all depends on how developers utilize the technology.
I think Project Natal is going to have better content because they're not trying to be this family friendly machine.
OK SORRY JOHAN! Back to the Ghostbusters!
My roommate just left to go buy it so I'll have a "review"(erm....opinion) of it sometime in the future.

You do know that there are games for the Wii that aren't aimed for family right? Resident Evil Umbrella Chronicles, a Wii exclusive, House of the Dead. It's not that the machine is trying to be family friendly, it's that the games that are made tend to be family friendly.
Anyway, going off topic again. I just beat the game a few days ago. Pretty fun, but I might see if I can get the PC version because it's harder and has more levels (from what I've heard).

I hae been playing Ghostbusters for the WII The Graphics are not the greatest sadly and the sound effects could have used alot more work i have been told though GB is great on PS3 and 360 so maybe thats my best bet buy one of them.

I just returned my rented copy of GB:TG on PS3, LOVED it. The actors OBVIOUSLY enjoyed returning to their roles, and it shows. The people making the game did great at their jobs too, very interesting play mechanics, and nice shout-outs- Onionhead as an altenate name for Slimer comes to the forefront of my mind there, and in addition, all the ghost "classes" are straight from the old pen-and-paper Ghostbusters RPG from the 80's.

That's due to the fact Akyroyd went in and supervised the script by Terminal Reality.
Anyone play this on 360? Been a while since I strapped an unlicensed nuclear accelerator to my back.

He also wrote the script along with Harold Ramis. He was pretty involved with the whole process.

I bought the game a while ago on the Xbox 360, it was awesome!
I got 45 out of 50 achievements.
I went to a store where I found a PSP format of the game and...I don't know how to explain it. But go see for yourself.

Is is just me, or am I the only one who doesn't give a flying fuck about achievements?
Just another pointless self indulgence that periodically awards you for doing mundane things.
I just beat the level two boss, ACHIEVEMENT!
I collected 50 orbs, ACHIEVEMENT!
Nobody cares or actually checks your gamer score to see how much of a loser you are and how much of your live you waste on meaningless tasks.
What ever happened to beating the fucking game? The ending cinematic or "game over" screen (those who have been around know what kind of horrible ending I speak of) was the reward for spending all day inside playing games.
People and game developers are all about making games more cinematic and what not, but those annoying achievements serve only one pupose really, to bring you out of the game and remind you what console you're playing on.
Is there a way to turn the notifications off? Because if or when I actually purchase a current gen console, I do not want that bullshit interrupting my play. _________________ All of humanity is of my creation. Would it help if I said I was just good at the game?

I kinda like achievements. If for no other reason than to show your friends who play the same games you do that you are better. There are actually achievements that are not just as simple as beating a level or something like that. There are alot of achievements for doing things in a certain way or other unnamed scenarios.
That being said I'm not particularly obsessed with getting them, or as people who are obsessed with them are called, achievement whores. But it's kinda cool if you play through a game and you get an achievement for either beating it positively, negatively, or neutrally. The whores will save just before you get this achievement and then get all 3 achievements.
Now I do agree that alot of it is bullshit and people take it too far, but I kinda like having a track record of all the stuff I've done. For me, not anyone else, well except my shitty friends that is. _________________
