ROBOCOP: THE SERIES (93-94)
Skyvision Entertainment and Orion Pictures conceived the RoboCop TV series in early 1993. A two-hour pilot followed by 21 episodes. The series would premiere in syndication early in 1994.
Ed Neumeier and Michael Miner scripted the first RoboCop film and were back for the TV series pilot. The concept of RoboCop:The series originated with a discarded script Neumeier and Miner wrote as a sequel to the first ROBOCOP film.
However, the TV version of Robocop doesn't rack up a body count. Instead the cyborg finds an appropriate way to take the suspect into custody. Commonly bashed for it's attempted social satire, and looked down upon by RoboCop fans for it's lack of violence, the show recieves less credit then it truly deserves.
